Those numbers do seem high, but his asking on the car itself is not totally crazy. A friend has an all original low-ish miles e30 m3 and is asking $50000 now. 5 or 6 years ago he was asking low $30000's. He's never actively trying to sell it, but he gets people asking him all the time.

The owner of the shop I worked at wishes he had bought it 5 years ago at his asking price...
