Wow – this is a weird question for me. I can tell you that from childhood, I’ve always wanted to rebuild/restore/refurbish at least one car in my lifetime. I guess I warmed up the task by refreshing a handful of motorcycles.

After the bikes, NOTHING prepared me for the amount of time/money/research involved with refreshing a whole car. I am glad that that car I chose was an e30. No other car I can think of would have been worth it.

This is going to sound waaay out there – but one of my favorite muscle-type cars is a ’67 Chevy II/Nova (I practically despise all other Novas btw). In any event, the simple, boxy lines, front-engine, rear-drive platform was the sort of platform I wanted to work from. For all the variety of parts and different things you can do to an e30 – again – I’m glad my ‘dream’ unfolded with my hands and tools on the boxy German.

As far as being attached to it? That’s hard for me to answer. I’ve been on a journey with my car – and that journey isn’t finished. I don’t know if it ever will be. Right now, it’s a collection of parts that I’ve lovingly assembled. There isn’t much ‘sentiment’ or ‘magic’ yet. I expect that magic to come into fruition when I can begin to spend time with it out of the garage – and traveling with it out in the world.

So far – our journey – like life – has had its ups and downs.

I remember reading a Peter Egan article where he’d talk about just sitting in the garage, drinking beer, and staring at this or that motorcycle. I can tell you I’ve become quite good at that activity when it comes to my e30. She is one of my favorite things to hang out with.

Why not? Something different, like back then shadowlining before BMW started doing it on the later cars, tinting lights before MHWs and lots of other little tweaks. Just wanting something different.

if she goes for that, astroglide up your pole, have her lay on her stomach and slip it in slowly and bury it to your balls and leave it there until she relaxes. once she is used to it slam that ass like a screen door.
