The old belt *might/should* hold up and let you start the car and idle, but start driving it and there is a good chance it's going to snap.

get them to tow that bitch....OR...if you feel lucky, go for it. depends how much you care about the car really. i wouldn't, but i love my car, you, well some people just dont have the capacity to love.

Just have it towed. If a car has been sitting for a few years, you really should at the very least change the oil and tranny fluid as well as flushing the cooling system and filling with new coolant before running the car. You should either have AAA, and they will do it for you for free, or if you don't have AAA, you should have towing insurance with your auto policy. If you don't, call and have it added. It's literally like $10 a year. You will have to pay for the tow, but your insurance will reimburse you very quickly.
