That really isn't bad for a first bmw. Lots of potential. Btw if you intend on replacing that bumper, you should just swap to plastics...just my 2 cents.

Nice interior! Really clean...not bad at all for a first BMW. And btw, do what silver said. Plastic bumpers are your friend. ;)

well see the problem right now for me is just money wise. If I was planning on doing a bumper swap with the plastics how much would the whole process be, and how hard is it?

It's not a bolt on swap. Read up, killah ;)

My view on 325eS's: they are better than a 325e, which is a little better than an M10 318i (unless its engine swapped). So its on the bottom of the E30 ladder :)

I have a serious question for all i owners.

Have you driven a chipped e before?

wow  seems pretty complicated. Plus getting hold of the valences and bumpers might be a challenge. well thanks for the link though.

You said it. Fair amount of work, and plastic bumpers go fast round heah.

You can bolt on euro bumpers, but those are even harder to get a set ;)

                        ABSOLUTELY.

Go get a JimC chip - new theyre 200 from Turner, or buy one used for 100-150 or so.

HUGE gains. The e was designed as an economy model, so it was drastically detuned. Chip sees gains of 24-28 hp and similar torque increases. Big, big change for the e. Best mod I ever bought.

                            I drove a chipped i with a 4.10 custom diff.

I'm just not impressed. The power feels empty, almost import like (shut up, no flaming.) The best way I can describe it is that pushing your foot down on an I is like pushing it into water - nothing there. Pushing on an e has substance - I'd say wet cement, but then you assholes will start in on "that's because it's slow as drying concrete" or something.

There's just a more solid, confident feel to driving an E.

I used to think my Eta wasn't all that bad too...

I've heard of a swap between both engines. It would be a 2.7i? You put the i head and cams into an e block. But I also heard custom pistons might be needed for better performance. Is this a true modification?
