Strictlyeta rocks my socks off
I am just finishing up my 2.7i motor right now
It's actually much easier to start with an i car when doing this since you'll need EVERYTHING from an i except the crank, rods, and pistons.Comment

Well, err, that's good too!Originally posted by BeemerfanatikNo shit - to an M50. Rebuild starts in a few weeks. :)Originally posted by MR 325I used to think my Eta wasn't all that bad too...

Yeah, he says that on strictlyeta. Thanks though, your input is cherished. :)Originally posted by MR 325It's actually much easier to start with an i car when doing this since you'll need EVERYTHING from an i except the crank, rods, and pistons.
M50 was free - I had no choice. Actually, if I really think about it, I'm getting paid to take this motor. Huh. I'nt that nice.

Chipped e's are pretty awesome Im not going to lie. For a daily Id rock a chipped E over an i any day of the week. Yes the i's are more fun once you wind out the rpm's, but I dont drive at 5 grand all day. The e's are so much more satisfying in normal everyday driving. But if I want to have some fun in the twisties, the i's will run circles around an eBack to my roots

E's are fun, and really wakeup with a 3.25LSD, Jim C Chip, and an I Exhaust/Intake/Throttle Body.
and after that, its either serious head/motronic work, or different engine.
I will miss my E, I impressed alot of I owners with it, but i'm looking forward to my m20b25

Yah, I love my 325es, but im still not sure whats on it. I know it has an lsd but i dont know which one. But my ES takes turns like a monster, especially on this mountain close to my house called Glendora Mountain Road. I have to say that the E30's have some crazy good handling. :DComment

Unless it was upgraded, you've got a 2.93 LSD.Originally posted by AznhigaYah, I love my 325es, but im still not sure whats on it. I know it has an lsd but i dont know which one. i just got done driving my car on some wide open freeways in some nice sunny weather, and let me tell u, an "i" with a chip is a beautiful thing on smooth freeways...roll down the windows and listen to that motor...3rd to 5k, 4th to 5k, shift into 5th and yer flying :DIG: @Baye30

FRONT VALENCE IS ZENDER!!! STOP FILLING MY PM BOX PPL!!!Comment

You did good, kid. ;)
My suggestion is to learn how to drive the car before you start worrying about mods. A stock e30 (even an "e") is a more capable car than most of us can exploit. Don't believe me? Take one to a track and let your instructor drive it.
Once you've figured out things like turn in, trailing throttle oversteer, trail braking, heel and toe shifting, etc, start on the mods. I'd pop that fender out, tuck the bumpers, get some basketweaves with good tires, some e30 M3 springs, and have fun. Maybe chip the motor as well, but only after you've figured out the rest.
Remember, fast cars go fast on the straightaways, while fast drivers go fast in the turns. :D
Have fun and be safe,
