I took a quick peek at the tool kit in the trunk and it was apparent that a few tools were missing. I didn't take my time to really assess which tools were actually missing. I just figured it was a special m3 thing.

Cool find, I hope you are able to get it!
I found mine in a similar (but not as bad) condition 6 months ago... non running, moss and chia growing all over. I have slowly been bringing it up to snuff, check out my project thread (link in sig) if interested. My goal is similar to what you've said - I didn't want a garage queen or track rat, but rather a nice roadworthy streetable e30 M3 which are few and far between these days.

Looks like an ok parts car. Best of luck if you undertake any sort of restoration! Would be great to see it back on the road but even under the best conditions sitting for 10+ years is going to mean replacing just about anything you can touch.sigpic

You guys all doubt my restoration abilities or more so, my ability to get things done which is ok considering I have never posted my experiences online or if I have, nothing to the full extent of what is actually restored.
Regardless, if I want a full resto, I don't have to rely on expensive shops and costly ventures.
When I say I have a good relationship with a shop, that means I can get everything and anything done for peanuts. And when I say peanuts, I literally mean I pay in peanuts.
And when I say restoration and bodywork, I don't mean bondo everything and mask around the trim for paint.
I mean metal work and strip the car down to what is being painted and paint with high quality, stupid expensive materials.

Ironjoe, I have always liked your car. I asked you about the kdw2's a few months back which actually led to me buying them.

At least it's being rescued.
Not yet. Pure speculation and hypothetical situation at this point. My friend is seeing dollar signs but I'm seeing a solid m3 I can call my own.world renown Harry Potter expert

Money makes people act funny...that's for sure."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj
