I know about the block drain plug. And like I said, I've never used a hose.

However, I recall that I used a (clogged) radiator from a parts car for a few days while the Mishimoto was en route. That may have contaminated things--I'll grab some coolant flush stuff soon, I still have not heard back from Mishimoto (didn't get a chance to call today).

I'll have temp issues on 20 minute sessions here in TN. Its nothing terrible, but I'd rather have the peace of mind of some more cooling.

Yes. Any e36m compatible unit is plug and play into late, and pnp with the right parts into early e30. My car is a 1987; added the rad support bracket from a late model car.

This PWR I took from my e36m, it fit into my e30 with 0 drilling required, used s52 hoses to clear M20 OEM airbox and the clamp for small hose fits perfect.

I did run a mishimoto radiator successfully with my prior e36m and s52/s54 engine, it was a tough wiggle on the small clamp compared to the PWR

          OBD1 M54/M52TU swap as a M50b25

Z4 non powered steering rack fits e30

          Euro e46 2005/6 320d 6mt gearbox into E30 with M20 hardy and beck 1985 327s engine

I think you should change the title of this thread, especially due to the amount of people responding stating how great our lifetime warranty is, which includes accident protection. While this post did get a response from us, it probably wasn't the nicest way to do so. ;)

Anyways, I have been out of the office for the past two days, so if you attempted to contact me I apologize. I had a few things to take of with my family, and I was out yesterday conducting a test fit and creating an install guide for a new Diesel truck application (radiator and intercooler) we are getting ready to release.

Regardless, unless I missed it, I do not see any E-mails from you mentioning this issue. Can you provide me with your E-mail address, or send me an E-mail directly at sales@mishimoto.com, or patrick@mishimoto.com? I will be happy to help as many other have mentioned before. If you did send us an E-mail, I apologize for the oversight. If you have yet to receive a response, please re-send it at this time.

As for the hose clearance issue, this has been addressed and we are working on updating the drawings at this time just so that there is no additional confusion in the future about this.

Again, as many have said we offer a lifetime warranty and stand by our products. If you have any issues, please contact us at sales@mishimoto.com and let us know what is going on.

            -Pat

EDIT - Mods/Admins, please allow this post to stay as we are defending ourselves from accusations which the OP has presented. We will not continue posting on the forum unless invited to do so, or unless another thread such as this arrives.

              Hey OP
See? That's customer service right there.
Unequivocal is the only word to describe it from my dealings. This only solidifies it even further.

Although I'm suprised R&D didn't catch the 2 hoses being so close together being a problem earlier. I run a Mishimoto and thats the only complaint I have so far beside a lack of a bleeding screw on the e36 for us swap guys.

Done--I would have done so before but I was under the impression that thread titles were uneditable (I guess it has changed). I was pretty pissed when I posted the thread as I'm sure you can appreciate, after spending twice as much for a good, established aluminum radiator I have to run around town finding parts that still do not seal, then a year later I find that it's leaking at the endtank, which is the whole reason I bought an aluminum rad in the first place.

I sent you an email on the 28th and you responded 2 hours ago. I'd rather not post my personal email online but it should not be too hard to figure out who I am. No worries about the latency; it is not super urgent.

As for the hose clearance issue, this has been addressed and we are working on updating the drawings at this time just so that there is no additional confusion in the future about this.
What do you mean by confusion? There is not much to confuse, the nipple placement makes hose fitment extremely difficult without modification.

the early ones that i run do not have that issue. so at some point china/Taiwan dropped the ball. I see this alot.

Shoot me an email at patrick@mishimoto.com with some information on this. The change must have happened prior to me coming to the company.

I understand where you are coming from. However, if this was a competitor's product, all I would say is good luck getting a hold of them.

No problem. I was out of the office for the past two days and I am trying to catch up on E-mails right now. It has been pretty busy over here at the office recently. This is our busy season! :D Also, if you E-mailed us on 6/28, and this thread was made on 6/27, we didn't have much of a chance to correct the issue you are experiencing I would assume.

What do you mean by confusion? There is not much to confuse, the nipple placement makes hose fitment extremely difficult without modification.
Maybe confusion wasn't the best word to describe it, but in order to cut down threads such as this one, we are in process of making small design changes to the drawings for this unit.

I have no problem with this post remaining and I don't think the mods do either.

You are right, I am impressed with your customer service; not so much with the R&D.

The thread was a manifestation of all of my frustration with the radiator. The leak at the endtank was what pushed me over the edge but that was only half of it--my main issue was that it's impossible to fit the stock hoses on a brand new unit. Since I doubted that would have been remedied with a quick email to Mishimoto, the sad truth is that I would likely have remained dissatisfied with a new radiator despite great customer service (real motivational, I know). You are correct that I should have given Mishimoto a chance to rectify the situation before posting, however I did emphatically mention the problem in the email and it went unaddressed, so I would be inclined to call it a moot point.

Perhaps we could put off a warranty exchange until these changes are in effect.
