m-tech II vert questions

Ok , i had the vin decoded at the dealer. This is what came up from their end birthday o4/13/92
Canadian spec e30 325 cab

Options
0375- wheels #79
494 - heated seats
530- a/c
540- cruise control
556-outdoor temp sensor (6 button obc)
675-premium sound trunk mounted cd changer
775- ?
925-shipping package (cosmoline)

Colour
181- DS
Interior color
226 I cannot find reference to this number and their computer just says code.

One outstanding recall on it still

Nothing in the options code about it being 770 M-tech though.

Thoughts?

775, is a little puzzling, it may refer to the liner on the OEM folding top

The dealer said the 226 number was the interior code

I picked it up.

I'll post pics of the car in a thread later, but i went through a stack of reciepts that came with the car and more work was done than i thought. PO spent over 6k in the last 18 months. The only issues i needed to do was steering rack was sloppy(not leaky but loose feeling) which i just swapped in a z3 rack, and there is no reciept or history of tbelt etc so that is being done friday.

the sloppy rack is most likely from worn inner tie rods. cheap fix. or could be control arm ball joints/bushings gone bad.

there ALWAYS seems to be a premium on Cabs in Canada though, I see them around here, in good shape (not tec II though) for anywhere between 6-11k. I almost never see one sub $5k

that premium is only on the verts though, cheap sedans in 2 and 4 door are around.

I would assume Bring Cash is no different.

Lol, yeah.
Cabs do seem to bring a premium around here also. The good ones anyways.
There are a few high mileage rougher shape ones around for relatively cheap (3k ish) but they need big $$$ to get "nice". Or drive as is.

A buddy sold his 91 318 cab for somewhere around 11k a few months back. It was mint though. New 6k paint, all new trim, euro weaves and news-drives.....etc. It was mint.

wow, its 100% opposite here. 5/6 e30s on CL are cabs. and are 1/2 the value of their hardtop counterparts.

buy your vert here in CA and ship it up there haha

This is likely because it's CA so I'd bet a bunch of verts were sold here and most people who buy E30's nowadays want the sedan to go racing/autox or just because.

Todd, congrats on the purchase. Looking forward to pics and your impressions or perhaps a build thread?
