1) Harbor freight tools are usually good enough for the ocasional wrench (excluding hand tools, but if you are buying harbor freight wrenches/sockets, you should not be working on a BMW or any car for that matter)
2) Check CL, there is ALWAYS a deal on used impacts.
3) WD-40 is a water displacement spray, NOT a lubricant or rust inhibitor, or remover. if you are using WD-40 to loosen bolts or lubricate parts you need to learn about what the WD is really for.
4)PB blaster is alright, Aero Kroil is better, but the best out there to soak a rusted bolt is a 50/50 mixture of Acetone and Transmission fluid.
5) Never use a torque wrench to break a bolt loose...if you do NEVER admit it..It makes you sound as stupid as eating a turd sandwich.
6) never use 12 point sockets or open end wrenches on a stubborn fastener.

My knowledge comes from 20 years of experience 13 of which on the Engineering team in the Launch and Design Dept. for Ford Motor company (I was one of around 150 people that brought the world the first Hybrid SUV) I also spent 7 years as a journeyman machinist/tool and die maker making progressive punch dies...your knowledge is so limited I wont even waste the time to mock you. Just trust me when I say I will forget more about this subject than you will ever know. As far as your comment on my post my post count goes...Are you serious??? LOLGo put some muffler tips on your car or something.

Or I probably mis understood you. Also I am not Pro chinese emporium. I have a SO roll cab with SO, Matco and Mac tools I way overspent on. Either way all your other points are valid. But I HATE HF and I dont think ANY of the hand tools are worth it lol.

the few tools i use at work in a blue moon are HF, the rachets and wrenches and air tools i use everyday are all snap-on, people in bays next to me all have full crapsman setups and whenever they use my tools they can't believe how nice they work.. you definitely get what you pay for in the tool category.. and wd40 is definitely not a penetrant for freeing rusted parts, it may prevent rust, but does not destroy it. pb blaster is much much better than wd, but there are still alot better products out there.6 E36 M3s, 1 E36 328is, 1 E90, 2 E30s, and 1 E21 later.. :eeek:
