K&N and Mobile 1 filters are the same filter, built by Champion Labs. So buy whichever on is cheaper, as there isn't a difference in "performance".

I am actually getting ready to put one on the E30. I don't see the issue ones a DD.

I have run them ones every car i have owned.

its not about buying a fancy filter or really good oil.
its about changing them very often. every 2700-3200 miles.
                Much wow

A good synthetic can go 8000 miles easy.

That means Rotella T6 or Mobil 1 or Amsoil, etc.

There is no rule of thumb for oil intervals imho. It all depends on your environment, driving style, etc etc. To many variables to have a set guidline. To be honest though, we are talking about m20 motors hear not some high strung tunned out s14 stroker made for track duty. No real need to go crazy with oil changes and top of the line synthetics.... Mann and bmw brand synthetic here.... my dealer gives it to me cheaper than I can buy mobil1 at the store.

^ lucky sob. That shit is likely German Castrol. (Castrol Syntec 0W30)

Well the thing with long intervals.. is that the oil sheers over time. Like a 20W50 can become a 10W40. Synthetics dont sheer as much.
