Damn my car left me stranded from the same thing a couple weeks ago. It was at like 3:30 in the morning so I was pretty much S.O.L

More then the amount of the cars, but honestly when I picked them up for pretty cheap it's no biggie.

Still if you put 10-15k into an E30 I think it's fair to say it is still cheap compared to many of what the "entry level" new cars are going for.

free, plus half a car shipped in parts from beemerfanatic, plus some more shipped from beemerfanatic, and again, more from beemerfanatic, then some rims and tires for $100. odds and ends from local scrap yards, bushings, ignition parts..... somewhere around 1000 to make it my dd. so far...... I don't like to keep track of it. that takes the fun of owning an e30 away. not about the money.

My 87 325ic - paid 2k for it back in '01. I have spent at more than that on it - on basketweaves (200), bumper swap (250), Suspension (350), exhaust (150), seats (150), new top (400), trunk lid (50), smileys and euro grilles(200), Alpina steering wheel and shift knob (250), shift boot and e brake boot (75), many minor trim pieces (200 at least), windshield and dash (200), Maintenance items - t belt and water pump and engine seals (100), radiator (50), oil, spark plugs, filters, etc (150-200??), tool kit and jack (40), is lip (100), sparco bar (90), and many other things I can't recall . . .

The 87 325es - I paid 350 for it, and have double that in parts/repairs - mainly because of the clutch that needed to be replaced and the exhaust. Just spent another 200 on Azenis and baskets for it - so it is becomng another money pit. :D
Good to know it's getting the love it deserves :)
