    Step one: buy another e30

Step two: pull engine and ALLLLLLLLLLL worthless useable needed parts.

Step three: shave bay, bondo, sand, prime and paint.

Step four: open hood, sit on subframe and make motor noises.

ix or e21. Look up B6 3.5 Alpina or Hartge H 3.5 they used different reservoirs.

You could stick a small bottle behind the battery tray part. I had enough room to stuff my diagnostic connector behind it.

I've got the part numbers sitting on my desk at work a phone call away!

The plastic separator pieces behind the headlights
            Cruise control stuff
            All the AC stuff
            Replace AFM with MAF
            Tuck/relocate wiring
Got all of that minus the wiring tuck at this point, already making a nice difference. I'm keeping the stock airbox on the MAF though, looks a little nicer than a cone IMO.

If my coil plug would reach far enough, I would look into relocating it to behind my firewall cover.

I removed my entire washer system when I did my shave/swap for aesthetics. My washer jets have never worked since I've owned the car, and my car also doesn't get driven in the winter, so I've never actually even needed them. When I get my hood repainted, I'm actually removing the jets and filling the holes, too.

^ No matter how much you shave your engine bay, it's still going to look messy as hell with that engine cover missing.

The stock M/S50 engine cover is hideous. Looks like a giant plastic slab sitting on top of my engine, I hate plastic engine covers.

And you're the only person that has ever said my engine bay looked messy.

I think it looks better without the plastic cover. More oldschool/mechanical/all buisness. The plastic cover makes it look more cheap.

Thank you. It also completely covers the valve cover, which pretty much negates the point of my having it powdercoated.

NICE! The ONLY thing I can think to do, is to remove the plastic engine cover studs as you are not using them. BTW is your head anodized or painted?

My head is neither, just cleaned really well. I'm still working on making a new metal coil cover that will fit in just inside the channels for the wiring and cover the coils, and make just a flat surface, so I have have it powdercoated the same red as the valve cover, and then I'm going to have "BMW" machined into it.
