society is based on decent people doing the decent thing within a structure of law. it keeps us from Anarchy and is the only thing that seperates us from beasts. I personaly enjoy living in a society where "most" people live within the law.

The society you describe does not exist. And the society we live in and its laws are not as simple as black and white. Some of the laws and policies in place in our country today do not reflect the majority's opinion, and weren't put into place for our well being either. Take for example drug companies (our country's legal drug dealers), food companies, tobacco companies, alcohol companies, banks, corporate america in general. They have all hurt our overall well being (both physical and financial) in some way, shape, or form. And they have all done it under the scope of the law, as some of our elected officials line their pockets.

Next time you go to the grocery store and fill your shopping cart, flip some of the packages over and read the ingredients. Then look up all of the ingredients you don't understand, and read up on some of the studies that have been done upon those ingredients. All legal stuff you put into your body on a regular basis.

Its clear you have your opinions about MJ. I think you mentioned that they come from experience. I nor anyone else can tell you your opinion is wrong. I am sure not going to tell an alcoholic that alcohol is ok, even though it is legal and ok for me. However, just b/c something is legal or illegal does not make it good/bad or right/wrong.

With the more questions you ask, and a little bit of research you will see that absolutely nothing within our society is black and white. And not everything in place in our current social structure is for your welfare. Not asking questions, and talking in absolutes is simply feeding into an already flawed system.

Not to sound cheesy but ever sincei got into modding my car. Being in my garage or goin for a little joy ride is my high. and R3v is just a placei can spend my time when not getting "high" my life is better then ever now since i dont always have that feeling that hurts me when i come home shit faced and have to walk past my parents. i realized that i was not thinking. all i was doing was wasting my time sitting at home smoking blunt after blunt. im glad that served as a wake up call i just dont think a 2 year license suspension is a viable sentence for a 17 year olds first offence.
