Here is a picture of one of the 330i BMW's that they race in our production car racing... along with other manufactuers, Audi (A4 3.0lt Turbo), Alfa (GTA 147... think it's 3.2 V6 ) and Nissan (350Z). I'm class A. Class B, has the Toyota (RunX), Fiat (Stilo Abarth) ....can't remember the others, also there is a T class, where the Mini Cooper S runs... VW doesn't want to enter the Golf 5 Gti against it :roll:

Yes, it's for the air jack... those other metal bars r too check the wheel alignment after each race

how are you dealing with the valvetronic? i think i read a rumor somewhere that they werent very strong at high rpms (7000+), or something like that as a reason why bmw didnt include it on the new v10. anyway its cool to see a e90 in race trim already

I love the sound of the BMW's exhaust... I wonder if I could get that sound... funnily enough they use a single pipe, not a dual one

The Motorsport V10 doesn't have Valvetronic because it would take away the traditional throttle, and in the M cars' case, individual throttles per cylinder. Those provide better response and are more performance oriented. Valvetronic is mainly for fuel economy.
It's not that Valvetronic isn't strong up high, as far as I know it's not like the system would have problems functioning. It's that past 6K rpm, the system becomes more and more inefficient. You don't need the ability to vary valve lift height if you're just going to be at WOT at high rpms all the time anyway.

The only Coupe models we really get here r the M3 ... but towards the end of the E46's life we started getting a few, so hopefully they will continue that trend overhere
