I went to the van nuts meet 2 weeks ago on friday and saw you car there.
It was pretty dark but with the flash on I was surprised to see a bright yellow block

Ya moving those 2 components could help clean up your bay.

I also have an m3 cover, I left the diagnostic out but the relay I managed to fit it was a total bitch. I tried to get the diagnostic back there but with the giant brake booster it wasn't having it. Any questions pm me

When I did my M3 covers with my M50 swap, the lengths and position of certain parts of the wiring harness wouldn't allow for positioning of the diag port in the stock location, so I located the X20 connector into that diag port bracket, and positioned the diag port over near the fuse box, I think it looks pretty decent.

I was able to fit all my wiring and connector within the cover

How do you like the kamotors intake Janderson?

even though its not an M20, gives you an idea what it looks like. I used the bracket that was already there.

why not put the C101 port where it belongs inside the harness cover and use the proper location for the OBD port (where you have the C101)?

here's my M20 with the M3 harness cover:

I'm not using an M20 harness though.

yeah, I don't get why you guys are putting the C101 where the OBD port goes. There's a place for it right inside the cover, exactly where it was mounted before

how long did it take you to install the whole cover and relocate everything?

                              old setup,
moved the diagnostic connector to the firewall so this bracket is used only for the crank position sensor and the impulse sensor wire.

cut the bracket and mounted it near the dipstick out of plane sight
