GC coilovers slammed all the way down- how low?

does anyone have a pic of an e30 on unmodified struts, stock strut mounts, with the gc coilovers on their lowest setting? Gotta see if I'm gonna have to cut and reweld my struts or not.

    ^^that = bottom-out city. You don't wanna do that.

It'll go so-so low, but you'll hate the ride within the week.

I got shortened struts GC kit. And i wanna go lower, although. its pretty low as is. 2.5" form skid plate to ground. about 22" from ground to fender.

Look at my build for pics.

Definitely cut the housings. Here is a post from my e34 build where I struggled with this same decision. Shows before and after cutting housings

Like said before, the ride is much better lifted up, but it's manageable bottomed out, not terrible. The rear is up a bit, but the front is all the way down:

If you want to be this low (or lower) I'd definitely cut the struts. I always wanted to when I was riding at this height.

You are a couple years late to the party. ;) FS ad in PNW if you want to see current. (it's worse...)

I have mine about halfway down adn I got like 2.5" to M50 oil pan, And I am on 16x8 with 225/45s, on the stock bottle caps if I tried to drop it all the way down I am scared I would be on the ground.

                          really?? on unmodified strut housings?

I already bought bilstein shocks.........I don't want to have to get new shocks if i shorten my strut housings.

dammit..should I just buy camber plates so i can have a thinner strut mount and thus, moar low?

It's pretty low on uncut housings all the way down especially if you are using oversized tires. You won't have much wheel/fender gap but if you are using the right tire diameter there will be a slight gap like in the pictures. On a regular E30, definitely cut the housings the struts aren't anything special and are easily found. M3 struts on the other hand... = / well the decision isn't so easy.
