I've been loving my e30 except..

I daily a 325i vert. It's not too bad. The only thing that annoys me is parts stores never have parts in stock for me. Today for example I went to go hop in my car to go to the car wash, and my clutch went right to the floor. Got under the car and the slave cylinder was puking brake fluid. Pop off the old slave and call all the parts stores in my area. Of course no one had a listing or I had to wait five days to get one. So I had to two day one from online.

    Sorry for the rant.

Autozone got me a slave in one day. If it is during the week they can get it to you in the same day sometimes.

This is why most of us have a shelf, full of spare parts.
In my case, its a bit more than a shelf.....

          Get used to it.

Not true....Drive american....I'd be willing to wager you could build a Jeep from parts from my local autozone (for cheap). Nothing is ever out of stock. Use to drive a Civic a while back and parts a common but not like my wrangler.

my point was that most older cars are going to have some scarcity of immediately available parts.

i get whatever i need from my local dealer, same day as long as i order before noon.
if they dont have it, then a local euro parts supply place, but i only use them for emergencies because they are pricey.

blunttech is good when you are doing a project, but not gonna pay for something to be overnight'd.

there has not been ONE time that my local dealer hasn't been at least double their list price.

                    rude, too.

I just order everything from Blunt. His standard shipping gets it to your front door like 5 seconds after you press Enter. Accompanied by unbeatable prices, you literally can't beat that.

                      Headache free.

Neither kragen, vatozone, and some other hole in the wall place had a fuel filter. They also wanted like $29 for it. Bleh.

                        It does.

I could walk into any parts store and get damn near anything for my '87 daytona. Car was 20 years old and they usually even had the obscure stuff.

Napa, we even have roundels. Anything not in stock can be sent from a distribution center the same day. You don't have a european parts specialist around you?
