I havent heard anything bad about them either. Everyone creams their pants over the Stage 3 suspension.

I have to admit, I have it and I like it. However, they even admit they arent making them but contracting them and badging them. I havent actually bought something MADE by them.Im now E30less.

vodo, sorry to hear about your brakes man. Glad to see you around here again though.Comment

Strange, I haven't heard of any problems with them either, besides slow shipping. I have been to their shop a couple times and it all seems top notch to me.Comment

Are you kidding me?Originally posted by Beej '86 325esWhat is the caliper bracket made of? Aluminum? Maybe it is meant to be run with brake ducts. :?
Do you want to sell a product, responsible for the saftey of someones life... with a disclaimer they need to have a specific type of brake cooling in order for the product to work? Its a bracket, responsible for holding the caliper to the strut. That area wouldnt even get a lot of cooling with proper ducting.... that is a null and void point.
Voodomagoo has a 100% track car, with brake ducts. This incident occured on the street.Below the radar...Comment

I've always had excellent service from IE, guess I'm just lucky. I never thought their BBK was worth the money though..Comment

talked to them today and their supposed to be making me a new bracket that wont bend and cause the pbr part to brake. everything on the brakes besides the calipers is steel or cast iron, i have big ducts to by the way. if things get resolved then ill be happy with them again. i just got there coilover sleves and camber plates and love them. I was told they never have had anyone besides me bend the orginal plates let alone there new and impoved ones so i guess im hard on my car. And i never left the board eather just been racing to much to post much anywhere. and just so everyone knows what car this happened on here are some pics, its pretty much a cmod car barely on the street nowadays it gets pulled to the track even.

car is rolling on 16x8.5in rims running on 245/45/16 RA-1's full cage and fire system if i wanted to i could go club racing tommrow so i know this is not something im doing wrong. I know every nut and bolt on this car and the struts are even brand new so nothing is bent on the car that would have caused this

I was considering ordering one of the sparco strut braces from IE, mostly because I want one that is black, not red.Originally posted by erik325iWhat was wrong with the strut brace? It seems like a very simple part. How could it have been garbage? fitment? quality?Originally posted by Mike 91 318icThe only thing I've bought from them was a strut brace... It was complete garbage... They did give me a refund, but considering how easy it is to make a strut brace I wouldn't trust them with anything else.

you mean i can't always have dirt cheap, great quality, and awesome improvement in performance?? NO WAY! it's an outrage. I want the best quality, best performing product for the cheapest price!!
not directed at vodo, sorry to hear about shit breaking and crap going wrong. but IE is a company working for the budget minded, and if you want a nice safe and completely reliable BBK, spend $, don't go for the cheapest you can find.
IE motor mounts worked great for me. Customer service is win or lose, but they're busy dealing with quantity to make up for a probably very low profit margin.
Don't be so quick people to jump on the train to lynch a company. If you do it for all, there won't be any left to deal with us. Sounds like finally Jeff is addressing the issues and resolving things.Comment

well there arent many options for brakes on these cars if i didnt go 5 lug and even then fitting 16in rims would be hard. Ireland is trying to make this situation better for me now but dammit im still mad. budget or not things should be engineered right trying to sell cheap is no reason to make faulty products. I have enough money into my car now to know good stuff doesnt come cheap. The first time I had trouble with the brakes they were quick to act but this time around I got alot of attitude and not alot of response. The truth is I could have been badly hurt, its a major problem and they will adress this issue, hell ive been getting parts from them for over 4 years now and not onece until now have I been disapointed.

This type of brake failure is a big deal, and shows a real lack of engineering and testing. "They're cheap" doesn't cut it - maybe in the world of wheels and sway bars, but not big brake kits. Luckily nobody was hurt or killed.'91 318is

Nice looking car, vodo. It surprises me more that you had that problem with a car that looks to be well set up, and is probably the ideal type of car the kit would be installed on.-Brandon
