i never really liked american sports cars. they lack character and refinement....american sports cars are like a body builder on steroids. european sports cars are like a classy guy in a nice suit who knows some crazy fighting technique....and the japanese sports cars are like the people who like watching the fight. :D thats how i see it.

This is a wonderfully powerful car. It should be a beast.
With all that said, the suspension on the M3, M5, 911, RS6, RS4, and other German cars make the cars much more controlable, much more suple (usable on the street AND track) and, all in all, are nothing short of amazing. Making the Z06 go around a track quickly was done well. However, making it usable to the average driver is something still left up to Germans. I just don't think American street cars have the same tuning standards as Germans. Even the R&T people think it was disconnected.
Germans can create grip without using 335 width tires. It takes more than rubber to grip properly.
Now, let's see what 500HP + 7 gears will do against it on a track ;)

they are raw, fast and a good $/performance, but they are still made with cheap GM materials. I wouldn't mind one for racing but I'd probably never want to drive one daily.

per C&D:
" On one hand, it's a perfectly reasonable street car. It's easy to get into and out of, there's a 22-cubic-foot luggage compartment, the view out is expansive in all directions, the ride is reasonably plush, and except for some tire noise from the run-flat Goodyears, it's a comfortable highway cruiser. We only found a few annoyances—a transmission tunnel that gets toasty and some gear rattle when we lugged the engine. You could drive this car every day."BEERTECH

I love how E30 owners are so proud of their German cars that they can't admit that an American car could be better than a German car.

You have to wear a wife beater to drive those cars. I respect their performance but hate their baggage.Your signature picture has been removed since it contained the Photobucket "upgrade your account" image.
