ive been waiting for this for 2 years. finally! there hasnt been a single car in the US that ive been even close to considering getting new. Id love to not have used car problems but the new ones are so damn boring. This car was built with thought and a goal. Simply to drive the wheels off it
now I just need to find a career to pay for a brand new car.haha
m20 is plenty. im simply a drifter.

Pricing for the BRZ is said to be 25k starting, around the same as a WRX

The same Camry would blow the doors off a stock E30 in a straightaway as well. But that's not why we buy them is it?

i have seen 30mpg figures. and i expect this car to at least get 26-27MPG with DI, max 2800lb curb weight, and economical final gear ratio for 6SPD.

but this UK review says it expects it to get ABOVE 40MPG. wow

One more year of grad school left, then I'm buying the BRZ. I love it.

UK MPG is not US MPG. Their gallon is a different unit, so figures are not comparable.

Too bad it's illegal to drop an older engine into a newer chassis in California

You do realize the '12 STi exists, yes? With a turbo 2.5? HmmmmthatsthesamemodelyearastheBRZomgz...

Cool fact: the rear interior was designed to fold down and fit four wheels and tires and tools for track use. Anyone who doesn't like this car cannot call themselves a car enthusiast, regardless of whether they're going to buy one or not.

More cool info from the toyota side of engineering: Also: http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/201...hief-engineer/

Cool discussion by the engineers involved with the reasoning behind the car.

yeah i realized that. 1.2 US = 1.0 UK gallon. my math sucks right now. i just cant think of a way to convert that to US MPG
