It does look like a Hyundai; but whatever. I am glad that something like this is coming out, its exciting. However, I dont think I will buy one; I think the ricers are surely gonna be messing these ones up.

Imagine if BMW had the balls to sell a stripped down version of their performance cars. No airbags, no AC, no radio etc.

That is cool. Much respect from me on that. How much does the price come down on the stripped version?

Edit: almost 1/4 off of the price of the next highest trim level.

That is probably the best idea any car company has had in a long time. Less is more.

on speed hunters they show the battery is held down by a "similar front strut bar" i thought that was the coolest thing for a battery.

This car is the real f-ing deal, dudes!
I'm still too cheap to ever buy a new car again, but in 8-10 years... And this car may end up being the best spec race class ever.
Truly the most exciting new car product since I don't know when

Really looking forward to this car. Interested to see what other manufacturers bring to market once it becomes a success and they realize people want these cars in the United States.

If the STI version is confirmed with 300+hp turbo....I will be preordering one. I love my e30 but this is worth buying. Of course I keep the e30 ;) as well, might be a good first car for the kid in 14 years heh.

STi version is likely a few years down the road. I'm sure they want to make sure the basic model sells before committing to big one.

Althought Car and Driver, or Road and Track, said the starting MSRP $26k..............a few thousand more than I had hoped for.

I heard that they do this in malaysia to avoid taxes or something. They actually build the cars there and add all the options at the dealer. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, this is all just hear-say.
