This is pretty interesting:
My E30 was imported to Las Vegas when new, and remained there until I bought it this year. Carfax, service books, previous owners, etc all verify the car being a Las Vegas car.
The other day, I opened the service booklet and noticed that the original owner name is "Andre Agassi". The service stamps are difficult to read because of the water damage to the booklet, but enough is legible to see Las Vegas, NV on the stamps.
By 1991, Andre Agassi had won over $2 million in winnings. He was born, raised, and currently resides in Las Vegas. He's also known for his cars, specifically his relations with the Vector supercars.
To make it even more believable, the previous 2 owners know nothing about it. I guess they never opened the service booklet? So it's not like they wrote Agassi's name in the book in order to try & influence the sale.
I thought this was pretty interesting. I'm not a serious tennis fan, so the fact that it is Agassi does nothing to me, however, it is still an interesting story. Anyone here have the capability of verifying the VIN # through BMW's intranet to get service history? Maybe the customer name will show?
