Here are my two bays which I think are about as "clean" as you are going to get while still practical. Of course I might be biased.

Just my preference but with the s50's I prefer the one without the black ignition cover. Shows off the enginering. Plus I think the cover makes it look extremely boring.

I like when they look like there isn't really enough there for the car to run.

I'd run a STS type turbo setup just to hide the turbo from under hood prowlers without cheesy covers/blinds.

The two quoted above are spectacular.

For both challenge cars the fuse box was moved and placed underneath the dash.

What do you guys do with the hood padding? For some reason mine rubs against my intake manifold and sands it over time :| Do you guys just remove them or does my hood need adjusting?

It looks even by sight but I don't know how it should look when perfect, I guess.
I want to get it figured out though before putting on a powder coated black manifold that's been sitting in my storage unit for a few years.

ya, you would not want to start ruining your new manifold because of a silly problem. i get that.

try adjusting the hood and see what happens?

well it looks saggy but all the pins are in so I don't know...guess I'll try and adjust it.
What's it good for? Engine noise, protect the hood from engine heat?
