        I dig green. I totally agree, black blocks aren't the greatest idea. Silver is probably going to be your best bet. Other lighter colors work too but, make sure it matches the rest of the car. I hate it when people paint there engine but the rest of the engine bay looks like fuck.

          I went with a medium gray metallic for my block, looks like raw cast iron basically. Wrinkle black valve cover, intake pipe, tstat housing, and oil filter cap. Looks pretty balls IMO. Very clean/OEM+ look.

            I painted my M50 block kind of a cast-iron color, looks really cool. I just didn't like the dirty bare-metal color it was.
