women drivers. don't give a shit what anyone says they can't drive to save their fucking lives.
When christmas shopping with one of my ex gf's there was a cop directing traffic and she hit him. How the FUCK do you do that lol. It was in a mall parking lot entrance and he was waving a lit directing cone thing. Women.... SMH
I'm already certain I'll have a salvage title, but it will be well enough documented and frankly, after 13 years Im not very likely to sell it anyway. There is zero percentage in even threatening a lawyer for what..a few hundred in disputed value. These guys have heard it all before. The neck however is another story.
Will see what they say Monday about a number for the car. I know I have a wheel repair & control arm to do. The strut may be ok and diving boards are 10c\lb. We'll see.

Target fixation! In short dont do it.
That crash is clearly her fault. You should have no trouble with assessment of fault. Getting a big check to cover a 13 year old car is entirely another story!
Good luck wrangling with the insurance adjuster!
Assess value of parts + labor. Take check that covers parts and labor. Do labor yourself = profit!
Women Drivers + Cellphones and a sense of entitlement = Neck choking!

Im not concerned about liability at all, but as you say, size does matter. I had a realistic number from the start and based on what the adjuster is saying he may not be that far off.
I know what its going to cost to fix except for if the strut tower is off. Then its borderline whether its worth fixing. Im just hoping the twisted CA is forcing the strut housing over and the tower itself hasnt moved. Aside from some banging and pulling: CA is $76 at Pelican, I have the tie rod already, $185 to repair the wheel, white fender leaning on the wall next to me and the DB I'll find laying in a ditch somewhere :-)

^^ This should be added to the compensation from the driver.
Sucks about the tower.
So I put in the tie rod end and then realized it wouldnt start. Turned out the battery ate the cap AND rotor, so thats done. So far $40 and I can move it, but the spindle is clearly bent so if anyone has a 45mm strut housing that they would like to sell by the lb (+S&H), Id sure appreciate it.
Slowly but surely.

Weird that your tie rod snapped.. I hit a curb going over 25 and mine just bent.
Hows the control arm?
I was hit dead on the wheel so basically at 90 dgerees to the tie rod. Something had to give & Im glad it was the tie rod and not the e36 rack i just installed (or worse). I was able to unscrew the outer tie rod stub so left the inner in place. The CA is actually twisted and Im sure the spindle is bent as the wheel to strut clearance is virtually nil.
The bumper took the brunt of it as the supports are a good 30deg off line and there is a slight inward buckle to the lower rad support that snapped my radiator shroud. no leaks anywhere..yet !
