I haven't heard back from the guy in a couple days now. Looks like another craigslist sale gone south. Got my eye on a third, though....

I wouldn't be surprised if that sold within the first 30 minutes.

You need to constantly be on Craigslist. E30's sell quick for the right price. I picked up my e30 convertible 15 minutes after it hit Craigslist. Probably talked to 10 guys prior to this car and they said they already sold it.

I sold my vert and have regretted it every day. The only thing I hated was the wind noise above 30mph when you have the windows rolled down.

You really need to have a windscreen up at all times to enjoy driving a vert topless, and I agree that cruising on a summer night with the top down is sweet.

And I don't think any e30 looks as nice slammed as a vert.

My 1989 e30 s52 Touring... this is Betty

            My 1989 325i vert (sold)...this is Nina

My 1991 M5 (sold)... this is Veronica

Taken entirely in a Cabby versus Coupe context
              Pros:
Top down like a boss (Don't underestimate how huge this is)
There is the Panty Drop factor to consider.

              Cons:
              Heavier
              Chassis-Flex
It will NEVER have or meet the performance potential a coupe could.

Tops aren't that expensive, bigger sways are a moot point when considered along with weight and chassis-flex, stock for stock handles similar to a coupe, benefits from sway upgrades like anything else does. Fenders/doors are model specific but.... so what.

I love my ratty cabby, I say goooferit!

man, to this point, i still can't believe you sold that beautiful car. i was so disappointed when you put it up for sale. you only had it for a very short time. i just assumed you needed the money for something else. i agree with you that the wind noise from air spilling off the side of the "a" pillar is annoying as hell. for me, that is the only down side of having a cabrio. so far, my solution to that is to always carry ear plugs for me and the passengers. i pretty much always plug up when i drive with the top down. with the hardtop or the softtop up that really isn't an issue. i am going to look into some sort of wind deflecter that can be put into the "a" pillar to counteract that noise. it would really make the vehicle a much better driver's car.

speaking of "slammed", i have my asbestos under ware on but i don't think any car looks good with that stance. i wouldn't call the ride height in your pic above slammed by any means but tastefully lowered. 2 more inches south would be slammed and that would look like crap in my opinion. i guess i am just getting old.

I've always thought the verts should have wing windows, might help break up the turbulence pocket by the a pillar.
