Building up the perfect motor from a m50/2 sounds like a ton of fun. I would love to do it starting with an aluminum m52 block. Must be nice to have a "considerable amount of cash coming in"

That's definitely a consideration, but many people do it like Blueapplesoda, MR 325, etc. It's registered at my parent's house in a rural area, it doesn't require smog every two years-so that's a non issue. The only thing I would be worried about would be getting pulled over. I'd have to find a way to go "steath mode" lol.

And yes it's nice, but I'd rather have my zinno back than the settlement.

Why not put a blower on the S50? I'm surprised that people with M5X or S5X don't supercharge more often...but then again, I am a sucker for the sound of a supercharged motor.

s50 on boost is pretty silly. Like, scary silly.
If time isn't an issue, build the m50 on a stand for boost properly. Then sell the s50.
People say the m50 block is stronger and rods this, rods that, but we're at a day an age that the most proper tune can put all that caution to rest, assuming you're not building some high-horsepower frankenbeast.

Haha, I can only imagine. I'll probably end up going with the S50 and doing some preparation first before the build. I'll focus on the tune, I've heard a lot of people talking up TRM, but MS is always a reputable source. Any recommendations?
