    ultimate e30

I just wanted to share my idea of the ideal e30.

Add one part multilink rear suspension, a la dirtysix:

Since I love NA, revs, and chassis balance, a built m42 with cams and ITBs etc along the lines of this:

Footwear, I'm going ultimate M car:

see also pic, although perhaps I'd have to stick with 4 fronts at 7"x16"
edit: also, not a huge fan of ferrari red e30s and the stance on that e28 needs fixin.

What do you think? Basically, it'd be the car BMW would have made if they kept updating the S14 e30 through the 90s. That plus the magnesium wheels.

Benders car is a steal at that price and if I wasn't so deep into my car I would scoop it up.

You mean kinda like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lS5yDet6ngI

the E30 seems to have the front axle relatively further from the corners compared to e36 so I wonder even for an S52/M52 swap about the handling effects due to weight between the bumper and the front axle, let alone a v10..that may be one reason why they made the performance version a high strung i4 and not a 6? chassis balance and weight?

Ah yes, the infamous Jordan and his first e30. I helped reassemble that car so we could leave for the e30 picnic. And then helped James and him swap out his tranny after breaking a selector fork in the tranny, while we were stuck in Washington that is, the night before the picnic.
