    powder coating trim

    I want to powdercoat my shadowline, has anyone done this?
    im concerned about the rear windows and the wind sail peice( I think that one comes off)

    will my windows be ok baked at 400 for a few minutes?

    Don't waste your time, just tape off the car and paint it. Took me 30 min to tape off the whole car and then you just paint. Satin black works very well.

        yes you can powdercoat it.

        good luck finding a place that will though.

            It's aluminum, it will coat fine. Your local coating company won't have an issue. They will just need to be stripped of the clear anodize.

              im gonna do it I just wanted to make sure I wasnt going to destroy anything im gonna do it black chrome it will be sweet

                I think your biggest concern would be how to keep the rest of the car from melting when they put it in the oven to cure.

                      I was thinking of having mine re-chromed but this might be a cooler option

                          i'm not sure what your windows have to do with anything. remove the trim from your car, then take it to your powder coater.

                          taping the trim off to paint it on the car takes 3x longer than just removing it, and it's also guaranteed to produce worse results.

                            so th trim at the bottom of the window seperates from the window? I thought they were a one peice deal

                              Agreed but not on the painting, but guessing that the normal person cannot paint half as good as me. So agreed on both ;)
