girl at the office brushed off the question and pretended she was too busy to respond.

like, "one hour, durrrr." takes awhile to say.

There are people out there who don't know the difference between Washington State and Washington D.C. so I am not surprised at this.

In an E30 according to the speedo? 1 hour, 1 minute, 10 seconds.

            Roughly.

I got a chance to ask the 15yo last night on the way to DQ. It took her a while but she did get it right. I had to keep repeating the question and she kept saying it was a trick question. Then the "light bulb" in her brain lit up and she was amazed that that's what 45 MPH really meant.

I still say it's the lack of things that are useful that are taught in our schools. It seems that the schools are more interested in teaching the kids to pass the PSSA tests that effect the amount of government funding the district gets.

I know it's not only the schools fault. To learn, you have to want to learn. I know damn well that back in the 70's when I went to high school I didn't care about learning anything at school.

You either work with your brain or with your back. I've made a living with my back and in my younger days it was good enough for me. Now, it's not all that great.

The moral to my story to my kids, and to you young guys and girls out there would be to get a better education and you won't have to break your back to make a buck.
