I'm a new member, been lurking for about 6 months, reading a lot and searching for the right E30. I'm stationed in Germany and had a hard time finding one that wasn't rusted horribly. I bought a 318i with M40 and fixed it mechanically to pass the vehicle inspection, thanks to all the info on here. I finally found one this weekend, it's an 89 318IS with very little rust damage and in great shape.






I like the previous owner's tag, didn't notice that until I looked at this picture.


It has a few issues: Was running really warm on the trip home, leaking power steering fluid, rear transmission seal, and oil from somewhere. Also has a pretty good shimmy when braking with the wheels turned, almost like a warped rotor but does it worse when turning.
