          Brian...

The U.S. E30 M3 had standard 15x7 wheels with an ET27 offset and weigh approx. 15-16lbs. each. I recently asked Dave Adams about this since I've got an E30 M3 suspension/brakes thing in the works for my car. From what Dave tells me, if you roll your fenders, you can run a 225/50 size tire on these wheels for the standard-bodied E30. Dave did this and he said he had no clearance issues.

The E28 wheels have a different offset (somewhere between 20 to 25 if I'm not mistaken) so you may not be able to run a 225 width tire. Perhaps a 215 instead? Lastly, The E30 M3 had optional 16x7 wheels with the same ET27 offset. These are much harder to find but if you do, you could run a 225/45 tire package at all four corners. The 16" wheels from the E28s look identical to these, but just like comparing the 15s, they have a slightly different offset so the ultra wide tire could not be used. However, they will fit.

Looks like the 15x7 wheels were et30 and the 16x7.5 wheels were et27.

The ETK quotes the E28 wheels with an et20 offset.

                      I despise all season tires.

                        ?
I ment i was going to get a more perfomance oriented all season tire untill i can get some better rims and i would run the caps and all seasons in the winter.
