I'm at this point right now......
Trust me...this is not an easy task. I have been here for 3 months now and thats just the tip of the iceberg!!!

This is just the first coat. Still need more sanding and 2 more coats of paint then comes the clear.
Just make sure that if you are going thru all this trouble that its for a chassis that deserves it. If not.. don't bother.

That to me, is too much. It looks like a lexan RC car body at that point, not something that an engine should go in.

With an engine in there I think you'll change your mind.

              Remember Sean's M3?

Ehhhhh, it looks a little better, but just not my thing. Just too many smoothed surfaces and empty, flat space. But, each person's style and taste is their own!

                  I'll take that as a complement.....I guess??????
Just decided to do what I havent seen anyone do in an e30. This is my 3rd e30 and she is my garage queen. No rust at all on chassis and she keeps me entertained. Some people read books or go sky diving, this is what I do to keep busy. Lots of detail and man hours have gone into this car. Thats just me tho.

I never said there was anything wrong with it, I just don't like it.

Electric since my sophomore year of high school. Razors tear my skin up to no end, doesn't matter how many they stack in there, or what cream/gel/whatever I use.

same here, but i really like the feel/smell/process of a hot shave with a standard razor. so i just shave every couple of days and try to be really careful.

on topic, i guess a partially shaved bay can make it look neater, but it looks sorta strange to have nothing in there. besides, im sort of a fan of the creature comforts that would have to be removed or moved.
