a few years ago, at my company there was a story about a mechanic that wanted to ride in the observer's seat from point a to point b. it was said that he partied pretty hard the night before and somehow in his drunken stupor, was overcome with the need to shave his nuts. one thing led to another and he apparently cut himself in the dick/groin area really bad. the next morning he started bleeding again profusely in flight. the crew had to divert to some intermediate city and have the airplane met by paramedics. by the time they got him to medical help, he almost bled out in the cockpit. i would have loved to have been there to hear the passenger announcement to explain this shit to the customers on board. a few days after this incident, i was down at the maintenance hangar for some reason i can't remember. invariably, this was the subject of conversation. this guy's coworkers showed me the seat cushion as proof. it looked like a soaked through nasty tampon that hadn't been changed in 3 months. to this day, i still can't figure out what the fuck that guy was doing down there.

the moral of the story is apparently: manscape your "engine bay" however you want. just don't do it when you are f'ed up.
    Oh meinne gott...

I deletec washer fluid, and all the brackets. Then did a m42/m3 wire cover on my m20. Made a world of difference, I say do it. Fuck the tards that are hating on it.

I was looking at the m3 harness retainer I have on my parts m3...

Now I see what it looks like with an m20. Clean.
