Actually she probably is and that is the point I tried to make in the initial post. I was on her Fiero thread since it is in a lot of major publications and websites (like jalopnik). When I saw a link to R3V on her build thread I clicked to see what our community was saying and took offense to the talking shit about a 14 year old girls appearance.

I have no problem dissing her ride but talking shit about the way a little girl looks is uncalled for and in an age of bullying and suicides I felt that if someone is willing to talk shit on a young girl they better be able to take some shit in return.

Stamar: again there was no fast back (commonlly refered to as the gt) in 84 and 85. Even the GT's were the notch backs those years. The fast back was not avaiable untill 86, then if you wanted the v6 in a notch back you had to get the formula in 87/88

There was never a 2nd gen fiero
there was never a early or late model look.

There was the gt body and the notchback body. It had a five year run.

The first two years, where the vast majority of fieros were sold there was only the notch back.

the third year where the most were sold the gt is rare.

The last 2 years, where a smaller percentage were sold, by the end of the run the most were gt bodies, and those are the best ones....

So while its definitely not correct if someone said the later body and the early body everyone would understand. lo)

All data just standard wikipedia which I recomend because as far as car models go the fiero is more interesting than almost any.

And all data shows it sold super well, other than the miata. Sold way better than mr2s s2000s whatever, and it made a lot of money.

Yea, I can't really criticize the car a 12 year old girl decided she wanted to restore. And it could be worse than a mid engine RWD "sports" car, even if Fiero's aren't the greatest cars ever. I'd probably be embarrassed of the car choice I would have made at that age.

Guaranteed this girl is successful in life, whether she's working on cars or otherwise, crazy that she has the drive to do something like this, most would lose interest after the first bolt at her age.

Dude notch backs were still avaiable in 88. I have. Prolly forgoten more about fieros than most everyone posting in this thread knows about them combined.

Fast back gt's were 1st avaiable in 86, the 190hp 4 pot, of cours was real the legendary quad 4 and in the special eddtion 5sp olds achevias w/ quad 4 were 210hp. The killed off 2ed gen gt was supposed to have 300hp. LQ1 (the 3.4l dohc gm v6 that was in production but detuned to 210hp cuz hydromattic could not make a fwd auto that would live behind it)

The killed version was going to be a p car killer, for dirt chea, honda built the 2ed gen fiero as the nsx, 300hp mid engine rear drive. Came out just after the fiero was killed off as a profitable gm product, all to save the corvette from losing its place as king of the gm sports cars

Simion: mr2 was yotas rip off the fiero, the fiero was awesome for a parts bin bean counter proof of concept car that was a very profitable product for gm, that in the 2ed gen was going to be a true world class sports car its a shame it was never built
