thats damn embarassing losing to a dx even if it WAS a hatch and extremely light. by about 10 cls i walked an si hatch that was racing a 2door with the same engine, intake and full exhaust and open up a lead of about 7 or eight cls. even with an auto if it was a 325i u shouldnt have lost unless he was workin with sumn serious.
 LOL i was talking about the civic that burned him!!! No, i know the integra gsr has a 1,800cc dual overhead cam 16valve aluminum block and head inline four cylinder, with variable valve timing and electronic lift control. In other words, the b18c1. I am ex honda camp, the kind that is gymkhana focused and effeciantly fast.

my first car was an fwd 87 corolla gtx with a fart pipe that my dad bought me for my 16th birthday for $300 dollars. It was rusted to hell, it idled like shit and the brakes always stuck and the 5 speed tranny was on it's way out, but it probably could have beaten my eta off the line very easily. It handled alright but it was just really smooth in the twisties, not necessarily balanced or nimble like our e30's, but rolled real smooth. And i learned how to drive stick on that car. I wish I still had it as a beater.

        fwd is great for beginners.

I doubt it had it's original d15. Most of these cars are swapped by now and the "weakest" swapped engine is typically around 130HP. With short ass gearing and lightweight bodies, these cars pull hard. Some will be sleepers too so they can surprise the hell out of people in more expensive cars.

SCC tested the cars from that movie way back when it came out, and the fastest of all of the was the s2000... apparently the R34 had it's 4WD disabled for burnout purposes, and the rx-7 and supra were both super high-milage cars. that's not to say that the FD wasn't good to look at though. I like the 10 seconds you got to see that e36 328 for, too bad that they had to prevent it from owning everyone by crashing it into water barrels...;)
