    10k in Mods

Ok the set up: My dad says now that I'm in the oilfield I should look into buying a new car, maybe one within 7-10 thousand dollar range. I say I don't want a new car but I'll gladly drop that much into my 90 325 ic. What would you guys buy if you had a bone stock e30?

If I was going to spend the money anyways I would spend the money on the car I have because I get to choose exactly what I wnt rather thn what someone else put/wanted on their car.
And you get the joy of learning the car inside/out.

Idk what your time-frame is modding wise, but I would NOT drop 10k into my e30 like that.
New car means long term payments.

pretend your monthly payments are $350. It will take you 29 months to reach 10k in monthly payments. How nice is that? New car & making payments while still earning payroll checks.

If you still want to go your route, I'd do ALL the maintenance first then refresh the suspension. Nothing beats cruising in an E30 that feels freshly well put together even if it looks like shit cosmetically.

I would buy as many stickers $10k can get me.. Recipe for the fastest e30 on the planet, me thinks.

I would never buy a new vehicle unless I had the entire payment in cash while working in the oil field.

Idk why but my post was based on dropping 7-10k on an e30 that was already built or 10k in mods on the one you had.

                therefore, my post is irrelevant

                  gaurantee?

So if he buys one and is not satisfied, he can take it out on you?

                  lol

Lol, I do not even understand your post. An item is only worth what someone is willing to pay, so who is to say what a 10k e30 is..

MM 3.2L rally engine. there goes your 10k. looks like an e30, smells like an e30, sounds and fits like an M20, goes like a US S52.

Sure, there's no definition of a 10k e30, but if you buy one that's worth about that much (whatever that means) you'll have one of the best cars you can own for the money.
That's what I did. Got an incredible car that beats the shit out of cars costing 4-5x as much.

WTF are some of you guys talking about. A well sorted E30, and $5k in the bank to save.

$10k in modifications doesn't go too far if you're playing with the big boys, but last time I bought one for 10ish grand it had an S38. You'll likely get more for your money buying than building.
