Actually, a lot of Bosch filters seem to be Wix.

      Neither are terrible.

Hell, though, if you change your oil every 3k and don't live in a desert AND use an air filter,
you could leave the oil filter off of a well- broken in engine. Likewise, you could use 7-11 brand oil.

Eventually, I suppose it would shorten the life of the motor a bit.

But a lot less than only changing the oil every 20,000 miles.
Even if you used great oil.

      There. More pointless opinions.

Both were great quality filters. Not sure if they have resorted to outsourcing to the great chinese emporium yet.

Yes they do, they have some nice cut up displays to show Napa vs Fram. Been using Napa for years.

I was told that Car Quest's filters are made by Wix. That's what I've been running.

                  napa filters are wix filters.

There was a while they were made by wix and gard but now they are all wix again.

I always get them because when they are on sale, they are cheap like 3$.

Thats the best deal for quality.

Not necessarily better than purolator or whichever but better than fram and much cheaper.

I get napa on sale stuff also because i live 2 blocks away. Anything that is not on sale there is a rip off.
