ok so I got my first batch of carbon fiber radiator covers made and I'm shipping one out today. I've wetsanded them down w/ 1000grit and then polished and waxed them. If they are still not shiny enough you an use some lacquer clear coat or just use armor all before a car show. I feel that its shiny and smooth enough but I cant speak for others.

I don't have any great ideas that haven't been mentioned, just wanted to say you're the man for giving back.

Finished my first one and already sold it:)

hardware-NOTE-my e30 already had holes for the bolts to fit into on the OEM radiator mount, the just need to be enlarged really quick with a drill bit takes about 15minutes for complete install. other models may be solid and need a new holes drilled. if you look at your radiator mount you'll see how easy the install it.

    and final version

    contoured to clear hose

VIS makes one for $425, I'm not sure about the fit and finish though.

A hardtop for the convertible. Big piece, so it's difficult to make, but I guarantee you'll get some orders :)

I have a spare sunroof laying here if you wish to try
