whatever the fuck, i don't want to argue about that anymore. you're out to pick a fight and that's the last thing i feel like doing right now. so kindly take your criticisms and holier-than-thou attitude and get the fuck out.
I can agree with that. My parents are landlords for several properties and this has happened. However given the factors of the guy owning a new Denali, owning up to it, etc, I wouldn't place him in the slum tenant catagory.

Yes I was being a prick, but you have a beautiful car-it's not going well for you and I feel like you have more options than you're willing to consider. And yeah my "holier-than-thou" attitude comes from my mother being an attorney for 30+ years in Marin. I've heard and learned this shit my entire life, so I'd like to see you do it the proper way with proper results. Once again, sorry for being a douche with my aggressive comments, but man. This shop needs to correct it's mistakes.

Im sorry to see that this isn't going any better for you. I think if you think it out, there will be something more to do about it. Somebody has to be held accountable for it. Even if you plant your butt in front of his business with a sign about their poor quality.

What does your insurance have to say after all of this has transpired ?

something's going to have to give soon. grills weren't replaced because the guy that hit me is refusing. he's saying 'we had a deal, i'm wiping my hands of it. i offered to pay for lots of other things, so i'm not liable for anything over the agreed settlement.' the shop requested another car to compare body lines. the owner acknowledged possible core support damage and is going to respray the bumper and valance, as well as fix the paint runs/tape markings on both fenders and the flat spot in the hood. we'll see how that works out. going to state farm tomorrow to talk about opening a claim against the shop as well as the other party. i had those euro grills shipped from the UK. i'm not paying for another set out of pocket. from a moral standpoint, that is where i absolutely draw the line.

I would for sure be pressing state farm to annihilate this guy and his BS. You do damage to a car, you fix it as it was or better. Not half ass

part of what makes this difficult is that my dad is being very in-supportive of me through the process. he's very disapproving of my efforts to press charges or go through insurance. i took him with me to the paint shop to talk about the obvious flaws and he actually told me to calm down and apologized to the owner for me raising my voice. i need to stop involving him on this, but he is primary on the insurance. i'm old enough to deal with this on my own, but not old enough to get taken seriously by anyone.

Squeaky wheel gets the greese. Don't give up man, keep pushing them to fix it right, because that's what you are owed. Good luck man, I hope everything works out.

pleasantly surprised with what i saw today....they pulled the core support out by what they called a tiny amount and everything seems to line up again. repainted the bumper and valance, looking at least passable now.

                              sounds good.

I can only say 1 thing........ live and learn.
I had a similar crappy thing happen to me once too, now my answer to everything like this is "that's why we have insurance" noone is going to try to help you or save you money if the rolls were reversed.

Yeah Mike you do look like a punk kid lol. Throw on a dress shirt next time for goodness sake. Shit like that does make a difference in the real world. I'm just busting your balls man, glad to hear they are making it right. It's just the inconvenience of it all. Why can't shops just do the job right the first time??? they cut corners and hope the owner is satisfied. Most owners are not enthusiasts like we are.
