An E30 is meant to be used as a well balanced, good handling, light weight sports car. Four door is not what an E30 is about. Passengers are just excess weight.

Sure there are plenty of hipsters that don't use their E30 for those reasons, they just want a convertible, or to be low, wide, stretched and to drive slow but they're not true driving enthusiasts. Their other car is probably a VW.

Two door, with the rear seat removed is the best way for any E30.

Four door. Unless it's a 'vert. Everyone has two door e30s. Not everyone has drop tops or four doors.

I have a 2 door coupe, and I just bought a 4 door sedan from a fellow R3V member....I have 2, other, 2 door cars and I figure I should have a 4 door for my daily driver. Having 3, 2 door cars, makes less sense to me than the 4 door!

I'd say that was the 5 series, or 7 series.

pretty much they just crammed 4 doors on a 2 door car, still no leg room in the back either way. I just tell people I have a 2 person car and they can suck it if they try to ask for a ride.

the vast, vast majority of E30's came with M10s, M4Xs, and M20B27s (or smaller). None of those could possibly be considered "sports cars", as fun as they are to drive.

He knows what he is talking about. Just spend some time here in Germany and you would see. (OniKyan)

ive owned two coupes in the past, I think the styling looks a bit cleaner with 2 doors. I moved onto a sedan when a really clean one poped up, jumped on it. I split right down the middle, i like both but lean towards a sedan now since my other car is already a coupe.

Clean modded sedans are pretty unique too

I'm also predisposed to sedans coming from an e28 background.

lol why does this keep being reiterated?
there is a reason to why everyone opts for the 2dr vs. 4...

but not everyone has to march to the same beat..different strokes for different folks..not everyone has to be the same kettle of fish..so I'ma let bygons be bygons

is it just me or are sedans more "rare" than coupes? Ill see random coupes here and there but very seldom a sedan.

Everyone used the sedans for parts cars to keep their coupes running.

                              thats a shame...

anyone want to give their 2cents on the values of coupes vs. sedans vs. verts?

If a vert, coupe, sedan are of the same condition, which would fetch more? Which do you think would be "worth" more going forward?
