the article stated it was built on the solstice platform.Originally posted by The Fast One!nope the american version of the vauxhaull(sp?) vx220.
170hp is weak imo for any sport roadster. my prelude has more hp out of a 2.2 vs. 2.4
I do like the departure from the standard saturn mold.Comment

it was taken from vauxhaull's vx though. saw it on top gear. it's the vx220 just with left side drive and front engine and few other things.

Its a rebadged solstice, not a vauxhaull.

THIS IS AMERICA DAMNIT!!! We have more creative talent than to just rebadge cars for other companies that are really sister companies... err... daughter companies... Every American car is unique and special....Originally posted by Robrebadged solstice?

according to this, the solstice and sky share the same "kappa drivetrain"
" Kappa- Kappa is going to be GM’s small rear-wheel drive platform for mid-performance cars. The platform will debut on the upcoming Pontiac Solstice, followed by the Saturn Sky and Opel GT. As of right now the Kappa is a low-production platform, but that could change to underpin some much-needed sport-compact cars for GM. Like the Delta platform, the Kappa is capable of acquiring all of the Ecotec 4-cylinders mated to a specially-tuned 5-speed manual and all Kappa’s are carried by independent front/rear suspension with a near 50/50 weight distribution.
Things to know-
Solstice GT and Saturn Sky Redline performance Kappa’s are set to arrive with a supercharged Ecotec 2.0L or V6 in 2007.
A Pontiac sport-compact could be a future Kappa candidate. "Last edited by nkell09; 11-16-2005, 02:01 PM.Comment

I don't know what you guys are tallking about with this Vauxall buisness.
It shares the Kappa platform with the Solstice, as stated.
Honestly, I think the Sky is a great looking car, and I hope it sells well.Comment

"Link isn't working for me."
Thats because you are an internet noobi..
You have to love GM's way to making cars...
What I want to see is the GTO motor in one of those.. that way all the retarded people buy them and crash... an easy way to solve the over population the US.Comment
