There is only one motor that should be found under the hood of an E30 M3, an S14. It can be either the 2.3 or the 2.5, but still only an S14. If you want something else, go buy something else because you have the wrong car to begin with. If you want an S38, buy an E28 M5 or an E34.

If you want more go out of your E30 M3, build the motor, turbo it, and if that isn't enough for you, sell the car to someone who will take care of it, and buy something else.
