Don't let insurance companies push you around, fight for more. Find other comparable e30s for sale and use the market price to help your case. It worked for me when I was dealing with insurance

Hope you are ok. Just know that your car saved your life. Try hitting a GMC at 45MPH in a head-on in a KIA.

It sucks seeing threads like this, but honestly it gives me a shit-ton of confidence when I drive my car. I don't think I've seen an e30 wreck thread yet that the person was like "I WAS IN A COMA FOR 8 DAYS BECAUSE I WAS HIT BY A HONDA ACCORD." Most of them walk away with slight injuries.

Shit, one dude flew off the autobahn at like 80MPH and took out a small forest and walked away.

Hope you get your financials and insurance sorted out and can get back into an e30 soon.

Rage started boiling over me as I looked at the pic, even before I read the post. Sorry for your loss, don't let insurance shaft you on the book value of the car.

Although I'm still not sure you didn't just do option d) and dorifto between lanes until you were in the clear....

Such a shame. It looks so clean.

Just curious, how would this car be valued by the insurance company?

Damn that sucks. Looks like it was really clean. Pretty impressed with how well it fared though.

                    Glad you're okay man.

How did the airbag treat you?
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

I went to the yard this morning to grab my personal belongings and the tow truck driver threw all the residuals remaining on the street onto the seat... Fortunately it didn't damage anything. Click image for larger version

The airbag deployed right on cue. It was loud just as any pyrotechnics in an airbag would be. Made my ears ring all night. The most annoying thing was the amount of sodium azide/ talcum powder. It irritated my throat and made me cough all night as well. But I see this all the time at my work as I do work for a BMW collision center. Honestly I started to get numb to all of the accidents I see but now have me another fresh perspective.
