True Rob, I'm very picky about my engine bay, though. I like to show it off a lot, and I'm planning to enter the car in a lot of local car shows this year, so every little bit helps! I also have a personal taste of having a lot of one-off or hard to find parts, and that valve cover certainly fits in the category!Originally posted by Robits a valve cover, if it covers the valves and keeps squirrels out, i'm happy :pComment

They pop up on German ebay from time to time, just keep an eye out there. I look all the time, I love AC Schnitzer parts.Originally posted by Fidhle007If anyone sees some more of those ACS covers go up for sale let me know too! I need that on my car!
I've always wanted the ACS steering wheel, too. Yet another part that often goes for about 1/5th what I paid for my car:
AC Nico (R3V member) has had the valve covers before, I think he wanted $250 for the last one he had.Comment

I also like fake ACS parts too. All the trendy looks, none of the trendy price. That's why my pedals are so fucking cool.'89 325is S50 Track Montser

You obviously don't drive a M42. No one is impressed by the raw 1.8 liters of power.Originally posted by EurospeedTrue Rob, I'm very picky about my engine bay, though. I like to show it off a lot!The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.Comment

Ya know, I think the hartge valve cover looks better than the Schnitzer one. I have enough of a hodge-podge as it is now though. Alpina interior bits and wheels with an ACS rear wing. I think putting a hartge part on with those would be a little silly.
Seriously, I am with Rob. If it covers the engine and does not leak - it works for me. I might hit mine with some high temp black after I get all the cosmoline off. That'd be it.Current Cars2014 M235i2009 R56 Cooper S1998 M31997 M3Comment

you should have asked, before you went out and bought it!! ALPINA never made a valve cover! they were just origional BMW covers that were painted black, along with the intake!!! come on MAX, look around, you are in germany---- and I saw you at a show this year with a few orig. alpinas! none the less, i would still rock it! gotta love e-bay!Comment

And now I know..... Knowing is half the battle. *LOL* No biggie.... it still looks sexy and we'll see how it holds up. Like I said.... for what I got it for I don't care if it doesn't last a season. I'm sure the powder coating will last longer than the polish.
Mike... if I weren't so damn busy I'd be down picking yer brain every chance I get. We need to meet up for certain one of these days..... Gimme that phone # in a pm again if you could.....
