My car was priced high for the mileage, but it has a lot into it. Since I bought it I've watched craigslist pretty regularly and out of the 60 or so E30s that have been on CL I've only seen one that was in good condition, and the shit ones are all priced way too high.

I figure if I ever want to sell my E30 I'll be able to get what I paid + everything I've put in since purchase and then some, but who the fuck gets rid of an E30?

I blame alot of it on the fucktards parting out E30 that can be saved. And or are just trying to make a profit off parting one out. A clean body is the most valuable part of the e30.

Or people who dont know what their doing bringing it to the JY when the timing belt goes.

Also people realize their superior to the E36.

Gone are the times of the $500 E30

I'm not affiliated w/ that seller but just because he proved you wrong in your little debacle of an argument shouldn't allow you to spread word that 'his stock 318 with a couple goodies' is not a good deal.
did you forget to mention everything he was including at that price?
            you're being a straight dick.

Idgaf what a lot of people on here say. They are NOT rare yet. A genuine hartge, acs, or mk e30 is rare. A 318is is not. Even m3's arent yet.

If i can find more than 20 e30s for sale in 5 minutes, NOT rare.

The market for them has gone BATSHIT insane.

Yeah It's crazy, people have been asking why I chose a "rare" car for my swap. Ok, so it's a Cali 318is, but c'mon, first of all they may be a little harder to find in good condition, but they're definitely not "rare" yet.

Are the majority of people on here in the market to buy an e30??
I see more people complaining than appreciating the rise in value of our cars.

I for one am excited to know that what I've got invested in my car will come back, and still will even after I get it painted and fixed up.

I've been buying and selling E30's for about 12 years and MK1 MR2's recently. Prices have gone up a little, as should be expected. The market bottomed out a few years ago I think. This is normal for any enthusiast car of any generation. In 15 years, expect good E30's to go for what good 2002's go for now.

I've been getting bored with E30's and when I try to think of something to replace mine, I have trouble finding anything that meet my criteria. Then I realize the E30 meets nearly all my criteria.

People put so much money on these old cars and thats really things that need to be replaced any how. Bushings, brakes, dash, rust repairs, furnisher, etc and ect. You just not going to get it back, its all "Labor of love"

You got one guy asking 3500 then he adds the paint job, say 1k then he thinks to add the gas it took to get it there then he replaces the dash he wants to add to the 3500 for the dash and for pain and suffering of the install and ect..

Same thing with e30 m3"s. I thing its what 12 to 13k by the book last time I checked and people asking 30 to 40k.

I put at least 10k on my rust bucket e30, and know am not getting all back

I seen one on the forsale forums, it's a beautiful calpyso with black style 5's with like 210k miles for 8grand. I'm not trying to hate or anything, but just because the paint is nice and it has some nice black style 5's who the fuck is going to buy a basically OEM+ e30 for 8k with 210k

that is the most i have ever seen in 4 years or more at one time.Took me 1 rear to find one 3 years back.I would say e30 m3 is a rare car.their is only 30 to 50 in all of california.how many e30 on the road I see 4 a day.how many e30 m3 you see on the road in 1 month or hell one year.Whats your definition of rare ?
If rare is 1 in a state e30 m3 are not rare but if out of millions people in cali and their is under 100 thats not rare?
Try this starting today you count how many e30 m3 you see on the road this month.
