This. I spent a couple months shopping before I bought my M3, 7k and running is a steal. Although it depends on the extent of the rust. Mine was 10k and has plenty of issues, but they're things I'd be doing regardless, and really nothing too bad.

I was thinking this thread was going like when I got mine...Guy got emails out the wazzo trying to out bid me.

//getting closer. CARFAX came back clean. But accidents could have not been reported since its been serviced at the same shop for over a decade. Still a good sign.

took it for a test drive today, car ran good until the fan belt came off. Shop is gonna order a new one and install it. Replaced one of the fittings near the fuel filter today as well. I have funds already in place to pull trigger, just making sure everything is good to go before i purchase it. Front and rear glass needs to be replaced. I already called a place in town, and I got a qoute of ~$890 for both including labor.

I was wondering if these were the seats that came in the E30M3s?

Those are sport seats from a regular e30.M3 seats have horizontal stitching with the backrest
release mounted near the top of the backrest.(passenger seat in the pic)
Or you can get similar seats from a cabrio.

Are we talking about aftermarket or OEM supplied glass? I need a new windshield... :(
