I see a lot of people always doing the same shit, and happy chasing their asses around to accomplish nothing. it's like this in several aspects of life, but more so in here where people seek approval for doing things the way everyone else would.

glad to see you taking some sort of initiative to "re-invent the wheel". i dont know why you decided to post in an open forum, because you're gonna have to deal with all the ball busters who want direct answers.

Update:

I've been working hard on the prototype for OP. We actually have a running vehicle and we're just working out the small details now. We managed to eliminate any need for fuel by removing the actual engine from the design. It seems like a simple idea, but those are often the most overlooked. Next we reduced the number of wheels by half, increased their diameter, and greatly reduced their width. We decided avoiding belts and chains would reduce maintenance and increase efficiency so we are using a single gear for direct drive input. I can't give too many details away yet as we're still waiting on a BMW forum to help us find a way to get a patent.

Get a provisional application for a patent, and you'll have a "patent pending" for a couple hundred bucks. That will protect your IP and and give you some time to find investors without fear of being robbed of your idea. Once you have the money, finalize the patent, sit back, and watch the billions flow in.

Hope its a global patent your after... US patents are only good in the US. First China man that sees this will reverse engineer it and sell it on ebay for $0.01 free shipping. And I can call BS on BMW wanting it and not fronting the bill if its so awesome. I was getting paid $5k for stupid design patents for my last company, and 10k for utilities. Yes they own them but it just goes to show that companies aren't afraid to foot the bill. BMW would have bought you on the spot for it. Or they just told you that so you would leave, and they filed the patent themselves.
