as if i didnt hate prius's enough.... RAGE STORY

well after 2 months of having my first e30... disaster has struck. i was driving to take some pictures with my friend and his 190e tonight in the rain when a prius cut me off. ill start from the beginning. i am doing about 40 mph in the left lane. the prius is doing about 35 and is about 60 yards ahead of me. there is a left turn lane with a stopped car about 100 yds away from the prius. as i approach the prius, she starts slowing down very quickly and cuts into my lane(no blinker) i had no choice but to slam the brakes. brakes locked up. front right part of my car clipped the left side, toward the back, of her car. this lifted the right side of my e30 into the air and sent me flying towards the stopped car. i slammed into the back of the acura suv at about 35mph. prius started to leave so i chased her on foot. she stopped on side of road about 10 yds ahead of my car. the acura needs a new bumper. prius probably just needs some body work. my car is most likely totalled... right wheel wont turn. fender bashed in. bumper bent up. frame bent back. hood bent back. front left side is just shattered. lights smashed. grill bent. everything is just f*cked. after yelling at the prius lady and discusing with cops, i got my car towed home. i believe the cop knows it was her fault because i had the right of way, but its up to the insurance company to decide. hopefully all goes well and i can get my car back and some money to fix mine/ buy another. i'll post pics in the morning of the damage.
i hate prius's so much. this only adds to my hatred....

Wouldn't the police indicate who's fault it was on the report so that she can't make something up when talking to insurance?

thats what i initially thought. but apparently they dont do that anymore. the police simply list the facts. they dont blame anyone at the scene of the accident. thats what the officer told me. but i can also use him as a witness or something. im not totally sure. still trying to figure things out

damn. some people are inconsiderate drivers and just assume the world is perfect and weather doesnt affect cars stopping ability. i dont know how many times i see people trying to drive the way they do in good weather, in the rain or snow and end up crashing or hurting someone. i hope everyone was okay and sorry about your car man

ill do further inspection of damage o the car in the morning... but its not looking too good. and i took a shit ton of pictures at the scene. not very good quality, so i wont bother with uploading them on here. ill take better ones in the morning when the sun comes back out

Where I live, Prius drivers are one of the most aggressive drivers. Never would expect that since the car is car is supposed to be tailored for the economy minded...

leave everything on the car until after the apraiser looks at the car. That control arm is bent to shit and 100% chance the tie rod and link have been distorted and have to be replaced. Good luck with it. They will total this car.
