If lucky, the E36 will die peacefully, in its natural habitat, and be given the prestigious honor of donating its parts to an E30

Just because you can doesn't mean you should. That car is hideous.

a widebody version would be sick, but the execution destoryed it.

i think its cool. but would rather have both cars separate and stock. the sum is not greater than its individual parts in this case.

Not sure about this at all...

From some angles it looks okay but the silhouette just looks out of proportion.

Holy shit. I have always admired, but not necessarily wanted an E9, until now.

I was a young, rabid 10 year old INTO racing in 1973. Can-Am, Drag racing, Gruppe A and B, F1, all of it. The E9 Batmobile came to America and decimated everything in its path.

This is what we saw on the track:

This is what we got in real life:

to me, the car that came to the showroom was in no way adequate. However, a full-fledged race body was too much, too gaudy for street, too wild...no thanks.

This car is so hot, potentially a game changer for me. My goal has been to get into a LSx/T56 powered E31 at some point, but now that may have changed to wanting that same powertrain in an E9. So potentially bad ass! This car comes close, but fails hard in the grille and those hideous vents on the hood...not a huge fan of the bumper, either...but damn, I can see something stellar here!
